Program Notes
Mind racing. World spinning. Life flashes before my eyes. The sudden decline of my health has halted the greatest upturn in my career. Doctors don’t know what’s wrong. Medicine has made things worse. I want to fight but this new enemy, like the reality I was born into, seems to be everywhere at the same time yet somehow has no tangible form to attack. Irony… a vaccine designed to protect the healthy has made me sicker than I have ever been in my life and may kill me. Is this how the story ends? Collateral damage of a broken system, like my grandfather… my grandmother… my father… my mother. Nothing I can do but wait.

Performance Tips
In this case, the Program Notes basically say it all. This one is an explosion of chaos, despair and anger. If there are times where you sense a vibe reminiscent of 18th century mosh pit, it is not by accident:) Overall, it should be performed with Baroque sensibilities in mind, but do find a moment or two to tastefully step over the boundaries of convention.

Moments (Music Gestures)
Open to interpretation. Just don't let it become "one note". Find ways to express the chaos that occurs in different sections and build to a musically satisfying conclusion.
