STUDIO ENGINEERING WITH MARC
Bringing Order To The Chaos
Should you use EQ or Compression first? What makes a good reference track? Should I go with absorption or diffusion? Ask 3 engineers these questions and you may get very different answers. The key is to truly understand each task you wish to accomplish as well as the tools you have at your disposal. Only then can you come up with the right answer for your specific application.
The Tools For Success Have Never Been More Accessible
Technology has truly come a long way in recent years. A decent computer, a good DAW and a suite of plugins can do what once took thousands or even millions of dollars worth of equipment. In short, access to the tools of the trade is no longer an obstacle. One only needs to learn how to use these tools to open up a world of possibilities.
